Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of CannaLog (the "Service"), including our website, Progressive Web App (PWA), and native mobile applications on iOS and Android.

By creating an account or using CannaLog, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our Service.

CannaLog Technologies Limited is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16926785. Our registered office is at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ.

3. Eligibility & Legality

Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service.

Lawful Use: CannaLog is intended for use by patients who have been legally prescribed cannabis-based products for medicinal use (CBPMs) in the United Kingdom. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You are solely responsible for ensuring your possession and use complies with local laws.

Misuse: We reserve the right to terminate accounts that appear to be using the platform to facilitate illegal activities, including the illicit sale or distribution of controlled substances.

4. User Accounts

Security: You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Service. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. We utilize Microsoft Azure for authentication to ensure high security, but you must keep your credentials safe.

Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.

5. User Content & Data Ownership

Your Data: You retain all ownership rights to the data, text, and images you log into CannaLog ("User Content").

License to Us: By using the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, display, and reproduce your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service to you (e.g., displaying your history on your dashboard).

Encryption: We encrypt your data in transit and at rest. While we take reasonable steps to protect your content, no system is 100% secure. You provide content at your own risk.

6. Intellectual Property

The CannaLog Service, including its "look and feel" (e.g., text, graphics, images, logos) and underlying code (excluding User Content), is the exclusive property of CannaLog Technologies Limited. You agree not to copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service.

7. Service Availability & App Delivery

CannaLog is currently delivered as a Web application and Progressive Web App (PWA) that you can install to your home screen on any modern device. Native iOS and Android apps are on our roadmap; if and when they launch via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, the following additional terms apply:

• Licence: You are granted a limited, non-transferable licence to use the app on any device that you own or control.
• Third-Party Terms: You must comply with applicable third-party terms (e.g., your wireless data service agreement) when using the App.
• Apple & Google Wallet: CannaLog's patient-ID passes integrate with Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. Your use of those wallets is also governed by Apple's and Google's own terms.
• No Warranty from App Stores: Apple and Google are not responsible for the App, its content, or support.

7a. AI Overview & Clinician Share

The Service offers two optional features that warrant specific mention:

• AI Overview: A Google Gemini-generated plain-English summary of your own tracked data. Summaries are informational only, are not medical advice, and must not be used to change medication. Only anonymised aggregate counts are sent to Google — see our Privacy Policy for the full disclosure. You can disable this feature at any time.
• Clinician Share: A read-only, time-limited link you can generate for your prescriber. You control what it shows and can revoke it instantly. The existence of a "Clinic-verified" badge on documents does not mean CannaLog endorses your clinic or guarantees clinical outcomes.

8. Limitation of Liability

"As Is" Basis: The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Liability Cap: To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, CannaLog Technologies Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months, or £50 GBP, whichever is greater.

Health Outcomes: We are not liable for any health complications, side effects, or legal issues resulting from your use of medical cannabis, even if you tracked that usage within our App.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

11. Changes

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
