Built for patients.
Engineered for trust.

CannaLog is a UK medical cannabis tracking platform designed and built by a single founder — an ex-military infrastructure engineer and a UK medical cannabis patient. It exists because UK patients deserved something better than a spreadsheet.

The UK has had legal medical cannabis since 2018.
The tools haven't kept up.

If you're on a UK cannabis prescription, you already know the drill. Every consultation, your specialist asks how it's working. What helped, what didn't, how much you took, which strain, which terpenes. And almost everyone answers the same way — "I think it was about…"

That's not a patient problem. That's a tooling problem. Spreadsheets aren't built for this. Generic symptom trackers don't understand THC, CBD, terpene ratios, or the difference between a Mighty+ at 185°C and a Volcano at 190°C. And no-one's going to share their intimate health records with an app that sells data to advertisers.

CannaLog is the answer to that. A properly engineered, UK-hosted, clinic-aware platform that turns your day-to-day tracking into clinical evidence your prescriber can actually use — without ever leaving the UK, and without ever being sold to anyone.

Engineer, veteran,
and a patient.

CannaLog is built by one person. No VC deck, no offshore call centre, no growth-hack team scraping health data to sell ads. Just an engineer with the background, the discipline, and the lived experience to do this properly.

The founder served in the UK armed forces before moving into technology — where "good enough" is never a finish line and where you learn quickly that process, accountability and the welfare of the people next to you matter more than hype. That mindset carried into a decade-plus career in infrastructure engineering across some of the world's largest banks and financial institutions: designing, securing and maintaining the kind of systems where a five-minute outage costs real money and a data leak ends careers.

He's also a UK medical cannabis patient. CannaLog wasn't built from a market report — it was built because the tools he needed didn't exist, and because nobody was going to build them for him the way they needed to be built. Every design choice on this platform is filtered through the question: "would I trust this with my own health data?"

That's the pedigree behind every decision in this platform: patient data hosted exclusively in UK Azure regions (UK West primary, UK South failover), AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.3 in flight, Microsoft Azure Key Vault for every secret, 2FA and WebAuthn as first-class options, and a zero-access staff policy for the live database. A small number of non-PII supporting services — the public marketing site, static asset delivery — may use Azure regions outside the UK for global reach, but nothing that touches your health data ever leaves the UK. Not because it's a fashionable marketing claim — because it's the baseline he'd ship if this were a banking system.

UK Armed Forces veteran
Proud signatory of the UK Armed Forces Covenant. Standards of accountability and care for people learned in uniform, applied here.
Infrastructure engineering at scale
A decade-plus leading infrastructure teams and securing critical systems at some of the world's largest banks and financial institutions. You don't ship finance-grade systems by hoping for the best.
A UK medical cannabis patient
Built from lived experience on a legal UK cannabis prescription — not from a market report, not from a product brief, not from a deck.
UK data residency
Registered in England & Wales (Co. no. 16926785). Patient data lives in UK Azure regions (UK West + UK South). Only non-PII supporting services use global infrastructure — your health data never crosses the border.

What we refuse to
compromise on.

The non-negotiables of how CannaLog operates — not because they're trendy, but because they're right.

Your data, your decision

You own what you log. We never sell identifiable health data to advertisers, clinics, pharmacies, insurers or anyone else. Full stop. You can export or delete everything, any time.

Evidence over anecdote

UK CBPMs are prescribed based on what works for you. We built the structure to prove it — with terpene-aware tracking, real dose/relief charts, and a doctor-ready PDF.

Security as the default

AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.3 in flight, 2FA and WebAuthn supported, Azure Key Vault for every secret, zero-access staff policy. The same baseline we'd ship for a financial product.

Built for how UK CBPM actually works

Clinic-driven, not GP-driven. Scheme-aware. Travel-letter aware. Wallet-pass aware. If you're on a UK prescription, everything maps to the reality you already know.

Transparency by default

Every processor, every retention window, every analytics decision is written in plain English on the Privacy page. No dark patterns, no 40-page EULAs.

Free, and staying free

The core tracker is free for every UK medical cannabis patient. If we add premium features later, they'll be opt-in extras — never a paywall on the safety-critical basics.

What CannaLog is not
  • A medical device or a substitute for your clinician.
  • A marketplace — we don't sell cannabis or arrange prescriptions.
  • An ad network — there is no tracking on the patient portal.
  • A data broker — we never sell your personal or health data.
  • Available to under-18s or to people without a UK prescription.
  • A replacement for calling 999 in a medical emergency.
